A good friend Andrew Raffa of Merrill Lynch invited me down to Ft Lauderdale to participate in helping South Florida's school age athletes make the grade. These children excell in sports but it is a worry to think they may not make it to Unversity to play with the big boys if they don't score high on SAT and ACT test.

The South Florida Scholarship Foundation had their first classroom and on the field camp for kids like these. It is really about inspiring children. They have to have the scores in classroom siuations to fill their dreams on the field.

Andy's classroom speech was motivational even to me. Asking what are your opportunities and how can you make them work for you? By sharing some of his life experiences he really hit home. Maybe that is because he is an ex MLB player.

I am excited to be a part of an organization that is trying to make our next generation of Pro Athletes smarter and stronger. Many NFLers made it to the events dinner Friday and out on the field on Saturday! Way to be role models guys!
